Brand New Opportunity for an Electrical Quality Representative!
Our Client has a requirement for an Electrical Quality Representative, who will be required to work on a contract basis fully remote.
- Job: Electrical Quality Representative
- Contract Duration: 6 months potentially extended
- IR35 Status: Outside IR35
- Travel: Occasional travel to Europe, approximately twice a month for 3 days each time. Fully reimbursed.
- Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week
Role Purpose:
As an Electrical Quality Representative, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of electrical components being produced across multiple sites. Your primary responsibility will be to conduct on-site inspections and testing of electrical equipment before it is dispatched to clients. This includes verifying compliance with fabrication codes, standards, client specifications, and inspection and test plans. You will work closely with fabrication teams from initial pre-inspection meetings through to releasing equipment for shipment to the job site.
Job Role Responsibilities:
- Conduct on-site inspections of electrical components to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Perform testing to ensure proper functioning of electric motors, VFDs, Switchgears, Control panels, Transformers, and other equipment.
- Collaborate with fabrication teams to implement client specifications and inspection and test plans.
- Take potential assignments in expediting or delivery management as required.
- Utilise computer skills for remote inspections, support calls, and collaboration via Teams.
Experience:
- Solid electrical experience with electric motors, VFDs, Switchgears, Control panels, Transformers.
- Familiarity with fabrication codes, standards, and client specifications.
- Willingness to take on potential Expediting/Delivery Manager assignments.
- Proficient in computer skills for remote work and collaboration.
- Ideally located within a 1-hour travel radius from an airport.
- Available for occasional travel within Europe (and Turkey eventually), typically for 3-day trips, with a maximum duration of 1 week when requested.
